Bower and Book is the studio of multidisciplinary designer and artist Cheryl Gallaway. Cheryl is originally from Brighton in the UK, a city well-known for being welcoming and diverse, with a passion for culture, creativity and sustainability. Cheryl cut her Design teeth for a decade in Amsterdam, where "designers do not accept the status quo. They question and ask the questions behind the question”*. These days Cheryl enjoys working in and between Wellington and the sunny Wairarapa

Over the last two decades Cheryl has worked with various national and international clients and organisations including; The Guardian, The Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design, Dutch Design Week, The Royal Palace Amsterdam, Dutch Railways, Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, Featherston Booktown Karukatea Festival and The School of Design Innovation.
